Are fans too harsh on Jalen Milroe, or does he deserve the criticism for Alabama's losses?

Take a deep breath. Now think with an open mind: can Jalen Milroe intentionally target Ryan Williams, forcing him with 18 passes on last Saturday’s game against Tennessee? The latest Jalen Milroe controversy is igniting the flame Alabama is already burning into. After two big losses this season, some Bama bandwagons crashed out on Alabama, which was a shocker, and adding to that, now Jalen Milroe has become the target of the trolls.

Well, Milroe kind of gave them the chance to speak because he gave only five passes to the other receivers, Kendrick Law and Germie Bernard. The next thing fans are pointing out is that Jalen Milroe has been low on confidence throughout the seven games he played this season, which was the ultimate reason for Alabama’s 17-24 loss to Tennessee on Saturday.

The last time Jalen Milroe was phenomenal was during the game against Georgia, where he completed 27 of 33 passes and two touchdowns with one interception. But after that, he was somehow clueless. you know what? Milroe has thrown in a total of five interceptions in the last three games, while he only had one interception for the first four games.

When the kind of hate Jalen Milroe was getting reached its peak, his teammate Germie Bernard came forward in support of him, saying, “We always have J-Mil’s back; whether the ball is in our vicinity, we have to be better at making those plays when those opportunities come our way.” Not only Bernard but Alabama officials are also trying to wash Milroe’s image in the public’s eyes. They shared Milroe’s latest accomplishment on ‘X’.

So the official Twitter account of the University of Alabama football team shared a post saying, “Congratulations to @jalenMilroe on being named a William V. What’s your perspective on:

Are fans too harsh on Jalen Milroe, or does he deserve the criticism for Alabama's losses?

Have an interesting take?

Alabama might have thought it was their best shot to cover their QB. His haters got a chance to trash-talk about him. One fan wrote, “retarded,” followed by laughing emojis referring to if the official went crazy for naming him the finalist. Another fan wrote, “Lol. Needs to be named to the bench.” Wait, that’s a harsh one! but you know what? After watching Saturday’s game, many fans are pointing out the same thing.

Moving forward with another fan who wrote, “So this William V. Campbell trophy is given to the WORTS QB in college football? If that’s the case Milroe wins hands down!” Strange no? How do the same fans who were steering for Jalen Milroe now hate him after he made some blunders? Well, it’s college football, where fame and victories are short-lived.

Another fan wrote, “Have they watched Milroe play the last 3 games?” He said, as we mentioned earlier, that he had five interceptions in the last three games. This guy must be referring to that. One more fan wrote, “Is that a participation trophy?” this one made a sarcastic comment on Alabama as they posted this news to maybe clear Milroe’s image.

Lastly, a fan wrote, “We have 2 losses…” He commented probably to remind the trophy officials about Alabama’s recent losses in the season and who becomes most accountable for a team’s loss, a quarterback right? With all this stuff going on, Jalen Milroe better improve with his next games; otherwise, the condition can get worse.
