Will Alabama's 15-win streak against Tennessee continue, or is an upset on the horizon?

Another week, another round of adrenaline ready to be flashed through the hearts of the CFB community! After all, No. 7 Alabama is looking to overcome the Tennessee challenge in a week 8 extravaganza on the afternoon lull at Neyland Stadium. The Alabama troops are looking to transition into Kalen DeBoer’s era from the traditional Nick Saban era, putting all the feelers out. When the veteran Bama saltwort suddenly pulled the rug of his storied tenure as the head coach of the Tide, the entire Bama camp was left stunned.

Ensuring the future credibility and standard from such a top-tier image became the real challenge for the regents. DeBoer felt his heart skipped a beat while meeting the shaken-up players in the locker room on his first day. But it’s safe to say he lived up to the task quite well. Will the next trial in the corner bring another feather to his cap? Let’s pay an ear to the top analysts.

Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer are two different breeds. But the comparison is inevitable. One key thing among millions that the predecessor has set up was the record of not getting away with two back-to-back wins except in two rare matchups in 2007 and 2013 in his entire career graph. DeBoer almost carried the trend forward with a close comeback against South Carolina after the Vanderbilt mess-up. Can they add a stack to the momentum? College football analyst Johnny Manziel sees it as a resounding yes.

‘Alabama finds a way to come back and get back to being themselves a little bit. Obviously, we got to see in the Georgia game they played three weeks ago you know they have the capability of putting things together and being a top team in college football. ‘A high-flying 41-34 against No. 1 Georgia has indeed been the biggest flex of this season under DeBoer so far.

While the grit quickly fizzled out, the team carrying Saban’s legacy in its veins will spread comeback hopes like confetti, and the bout against Tennessee can be the turning point.

‘They get back on track, and they start rolling a little bit again. I mean, the talent is there, the pieces are there, and Tennessee’s just struggled a little bit enough, and they’re going to run into a team, you know, that has talent, I think this is a game Alabama finds a way to win.”, Manziel said what has to be said in the latest edition of BBOC.

On the quintessential third Saturday of October, Alabama football is weighing heavier with a streak of 15 wins in a row against the historic opponent. But, as per NBA Sports’ Race Davis, history might not repeat itself.

Race Davis contradicts Johnny Manziel’s Alabama eulogy ahead of another SEC clash

Alabama has dominated Tennessee for a decade and more. While Alabama flourished in its best form and shape under Nick Saban, Tennessee fell into the hole of darkness. But the dynamic radically shifted in 2022 when the Vols made the Tide payback for the past upset.

In 2023, Alabama, anyway, got the lead back with a 13-point comeback. Saturday’s historic SEC battle can go in either way, but as Race Davis sees it, it’s going to be the Vols’ day, with their psyched-up home crowd rallying behind.

Sitting on just the opposite end of Manziel’s intuition, Davis banks on the Vols’ defense and their incredible passing game to send an upset to the favourite. He also thinks QB Emily Ava, the beating heart of Tennessee’s offense, would have been at the top of the heap as they couldn’t get the chance to deliver his best this season so far.
