There will never be a day when Alabama says, ‘Thanks, but we’re good without Nick Saban now.’ More than eight months have passed since the GOAT has a retired tag before his name, but he is the one on Kalen DeBoer and Co.’s speed dial. This was something that came forward during Kane Wommack’s first public appearance on becoming Alabama’s defensive coordinator.
And Wommack could not help but flaunt about how they still get to enjoy being under Saban’s shadow making the most use of the GOAT’s ever-present mojo. While Alabama counts on their ex-HC for every step they take, Saban was spotted entertaining his fans by biting on a tomahawk steak.

After all, he has access to one of the greatest defensive minds in college football. “Coach Saban has been a tremendous resource to me,” claimed the DC.

While Wommack had been skeptical about whether Saban would give him permission to contact him, the GOAT has been always the go-to-guru. He’s been really great and just a huge support system for me and the rest of the defense.” Nick Saban is called GOAT for a reason. Even though he has so many things on his plate, he never allows the calls to go in the voicemail.
