Are Texas Tech fans crossing the line with their antics, or is it all part of the game?

Texas Tech ‘tortillas’ couldn’t stop Deion Sanders Colorado Buffs from defeating them in their own home game at Lubbock. Not only did the team win it with a 14-point margin, but they also made sure to put up a strong game against them. No wonder Texas Tech fans couldn’t handle the defeat and started following their year-long tradition. However, with recent turns of events, Coach Prime highlighted that tortillas were not their major concern.

Following this today on the Romi Bean show, Deion Sanders revealed his fear apart from tortillas getting thrown on the field, saying, “We don’t care about it the tortillas, however enunciate it, the water bottles, and the other objects; that’s the thing that concerned us because I don’t want any of our young men getting hurt because not all of them wear their helmets on the sideline as well as the coaches being hit.” Well, that’s quite understandable knowing the fact that those things can not only hurt the players but also reflect badly on the conduct of the game.

It’s not to take a team from 4 to 8 to 7-2 and only happened because of Deion Sander’s constant efforts to build a strong team, which not only landed them an exhilarating victory but also made them strong contenders in the 12-team college football playoffs. Even in such an intense game where there was constant distraction, the team put up a strong game against the Red Raiders. Even Coach Prime talked about teams’ consistent gameplay during an interview, saying, “We’ve been very strong in victory margin when we get out to a good start.” Well, the Buffs took over the game from the start and maintained a massive lead against them.

Moreover, every player was at their best for playing against Texas Tech. Their quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 30 out of his 43 throws for 291 yards with three touchdowns. Even Buffs’ two-way player Travis Hunter’s performance gave an edge to the team. Hunter scored nine catches for 99 yards with a touchdown. With the season changing dramatically, it will be fascinating to see how the Colorado Buffs adapt their game for the remaining games.
