Nothing is impossible to achieve when you have the confidence and focus on your side. This is the spirit with which Caitlin Clark is moving up the ballin’ ladder this season. She has shown remarkable winning energy and has been raking in record-breaking accolades.

Her milestone surpassing Megan Gustafson received appreciation from Gustafson herself. Moreover, the 3000 points mark again showed that she is not going to stop until she gets it. In this brief time in her career in basketball, Caitlin Clark has achieved and broken the records very few players could keep up with in a single season. Now, bringing the thrill back from everyone’s childhood, Clark has done it again.

Caitlin Clark has left tennis GOAT Serena Williams’ husband in awe with her latest feat. In his recent post shared on X, Alexis Ohanian is seen giving a shoutout to Clark on breaking the record of most expensive basketball card ever sold. He captioned the post, “Been telling y’all. WTG @caitlinclark22 — you’ll be breaking more records!”

Notably, Clark’s autographed 2022 Topps Bowman University Superfactor basketball card was sold for a value of over $78,000 at the PWCC Marketplace auction. Breaking records left, right, and center on court, however, this is so far the best one.

This record was previously held by the New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu, whose card was sold for a value of $11,500. Interestingly, the onset of this record being broken could be seen last week itself when it was already bidding for a price of $21,600.

While this does look good on her resume, the record is limited only to basketball. As a matter of fact, the all-time record of the most expensive women’s athlete card sold is still being held by the tennis legend and highly accoladed Serena Williams, whose card was sold in May 2022 for a value of $266,400.

Bringing the conversation back to Ohanian’s shoutout for Clark, this shows the humility and huge respect that the players have for one another with their continuing love for sports. Moreover, this is not the first time that Ohanian has been a fan of her stellar performances.

Ohanian’s unwavering support for Clark

In Iowa’s game against Michigan State, Caitlin made a memorable blocking move to break the 71-71 tie with only 42 seconds left on the clock. Moreover, she took a jaw-dropping 3-point shot form the logo and secured the 76-73 win for her team.

That night, Clark concluded the game with a 40-point score (another aspect that she has broken a record in), making it one of her most memorable plays.
