The hosts at the Reed Arena, Texas, were too emotional about their game. Some of their players got into a verbal altercation with LSU’s monstrous No. 10. After Angel Reese blocked Maliyah Johnson of the Aggies, the opponent passed her while clapping. The block was called as a foul on Angel which made No. 14 of the Aggies quite happy. Consequently, Angel Reese called out Maliyah Johnson by saying, “You s**k!”
It prompted the Tigers to react in a not-so-sophisticated manner and escalated the quarrel and the teams had to be sidelined. Following this, some players on either side of the team tried translating the fight into a friendly competition. Flau’jae Johnson also pointed towards the scoreboard showing the entire game was clearly one-sided. Nevertheless, this did not break Angel’s spirits as she set a record with her 50th double-double at LSU with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

At the end of the day, the Lady Tigers returned home with smiles on their faces and an important win on their board. It is surely a stunning feat to stand against the top defense of the country and hand them a loss at their own homes. More so because LSU is still improving their defense. However, it is delightful to see Angel Reese improving other aspects of her game as well.
