Recently, the head coach of the Triplets (from the BIG 3 league) sat with Angel Reese to gather her thoughts on the latest honor she received.

Lisa Leslie, a seasoned WNBA player, spoke with Angel Reese after the latter was named ‘Glamour’s 2023 College Women of the Year.’ “What were your initial thoughts and feelings upon learning that you had been selected as one of Glamour’s College Women of the Year?” Lisa inquired about Angel.

Reese expressed her delight upon receiving the award. She also expressed her appreciation to Louisiana State University for welcoming her and providing her with several opportunities to grow in her field. She feels ecstatic to know that she is one of the best collegiate athletes after winning the national title with LSU, and she characterizes the feeling of victory as “winning a national championship has been the icing on the cake, and I feel incredibly fortunate.”

In addition to that, they also discussed her childhood days and the variety of sports in which Reese used to be involved. “In high school, I also dabbled in volleyball and even took up track alongside my involvement in softball. So, it’s been a bit of a journey, but basketball has always held a special place in my heart.”

She feels profoundly happy to make it into the NBA, and all she wants to do in her life is play basketball and pursue her dreams. “I always just wanted to play basketball, pursue my education, and strive to achieve my dreams, which include making it into the NBA.”

Angel Reese is on a ladder of fame

Angel Reese’s celebrity is often attributed to her NIL policy, which made her one of the richest players in the women’s basketball league. The NCAA has implemented the NIL policy, which allows collegiate players to make money through sponsorships and other means. Angel Reese has amassed a fortune of $3 billion as a result of the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) strategy, which is more than even what current successful WNBA players earn.
