Starting his coaching journey in 1994, Andy Enfield began his coaching by becoming a shooting coach for the Milwaukee Bucks after working with them for 2 seasons. He then became an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics for another 2 seasons.

Between 2006 and 2011, Andy Enfield worked as an assistant coach at Florida State, where he helped the team reach the NCAA Tournament three times in a row from 2009 to 2011. Their best performance during this period was reaching the Sweet 16 in 2011, and Enfield was a key part of their coaching staff.

In 2011, Enfield was appointed as the head coach of Florida Gulf Coast University, marking a new chapter in his career. In his first season, he steered the team to the finals of the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament, although they narrowly lost to regular-season champions Belmont.

The 2012-13 season was a turning point for FGCU as they gained recognition by defeating Miami and securing second place as the second seed in the Atlantic Sun tournament. Their victory over regular season champions Mercer in the championship game earned them a No. 15 seed in the South Region of the NCAA tournament.

In 2013, the University of Southern California (USC) made a significant move by appointing Andy Enfield as its head basketball coach. He took over from Bob Cantu, who had been serving as an interim coach during the 2012-13 season after USC fired Kevin O’Neill. Currently, Coach Enfield still stands as the head coach for the USC Trojans.

At the beginning of his career at USC, he faced his fair share of challenges. However, in his fourth season there, he took the Trojans to an impressive 14–0 start, marking his 100th coaching win. Under his guidance, USC won 182 games throughout eight seasons. He helped the Trojans have the third-highest number of wins in the Pac-12 and tie for the 14th-highest number of wins in the entire nation among power conferences – making him one of the most respected coaches in the league.
