Bronagh Power Cassidy could very well be a synonym for consistency in performance. From her freshman days to the Patriot League Tournament championship MVP, the 5’10” player has contributed immensely to the success of the Holy Cross Crusaders. Cassidy has led her team to the NCAA tournament two times in a row. It is worth mentioning that the senior guard for the Crusaders hails from Dublin, Ireland, and holds a Post-graduate degree.
Before appearing for Holy Cross, she represented Marianapolis for one season. She averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists per game for Marianapolis. Cassidy signed her National Letter of Intent on May 1, 2020, to play for the Crusaders.

As a freshman, Bronagh received the Patriot League Rookie of the Year award for the 2020-21 season. She not only received the Patriot League Rookie of the Year award for the 2020-21 season but the 5’10 guard managed to grab a team-best of 13 blocks. Cassidy was also named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
The very next year, as a sophomore, Bronagh Power Cassidy appeared in 30 games for the Crusaders. She led the team standings in terms of blocks per game and was second in scoring points. Apart from this, the 23-year-old hit the double-digit score in 13 games of the season. Bronagh also grabbed second position on the team in terms of three-point percentage.

Cassidy’s career progression kept on getting better as she led her team to the 2022-23 Patriot League women’s basketball tournament championship as a junior. The Crusaders’ star was voted 2022-23 Patriot League Championship MVP as well. Her success in the tournament also led to her selection in the 2022-23 Academic All-Patriot League Team.

During this season, Cassidy led the team in three-pointers per game (1.9), field goal percentage (45.8%), blocks per game (0.8) and scoring (13.8). In all 4 categories, she stood third, fourth, fifth, and seventh respectively in the Patriot League. The 5’10” player closed the 2022-23 season, averaging 13.6 points, 1.6 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Cassidy did not let the graph decline in the following season as well. She led her team to the Patriot League Championship in 2023-24 for the second time in a row. The previous-season tourney MVP also retained the title for this season as well. She was also voted the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2023-24 season.
