“I think she’s a great player, playing for a great team. It’s great to see somebody my height that’s at this level,” said Southern Jaguars 5-foot-4 guard DaKiya Sanders once about Londynn Jones. With height being such an important characteristic amongst top basketball players, the 5-foot-4 Jones stands as a significant example of what a person of short stature can achieve in the sport.
Having played over 107 games for UCLA throughout 3 college seasons, the now 20-year-old has averaged 9.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. She has steadily been making her mark in the ongoing March Madness tournament, too, having averaged 7.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists throughout 4 games. Now, as the UCLA Bruins will face Paige Bueckers’ UConn Huskies for a spot in the championship game, Lauren Betts would need the short-heighted star to assist her during the highly anticipated matchup.
Having recently completed her 3rd college season, and the Bruins having made the Final Four for the first time in the team’s history, the focus is more on Londynn Jones than probably ever before. Therefore, there is no better time than now to get to know more about the 20-year-old star’s personal life.
