When Kitts helped Dawn Staley and the squad to a championship last year, not just her parents or grandparents were watching her, but also her grand-grandparents. And well, they were so proud that they almost felt embarrassed. “It was the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever had to sit through, let me tell you,” said Bev Kitts, who still remembers young Kitts trying to dribble a basketball in Puyallup. “In some ways it was embarrassing because she was so much better than everyone she played against”.
For the grandfather, though, one of his favorite moments remains the time Chloe met her idol, Sue Bird. “
Sue talked to the girls, took pictures with the girls, and this was Chloe’s idol at the time. I think it shows what professional athletes can do for kids,” said Don Kitts. And that moment surely fueled how Kitts scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds during the most important game of her life.ADVERTISEMENT

So, Chloe Kitts’ journey has been shaped much by her family’s support, as she said last year, “I just want to thank all my family and friends from Washington, my hometown. I don’t really go back a lot, but I’m so blessed and so grateful and I just want to shoutout my great grandparents that I’m so happy I am able to make you guys proud“.
Who are Chloe Kitts’ parents? What do they do?
Chloe Kitts was born to Jason and Krystle Kitts on August 5th, 2004, in Puyallup, Washington.
According to reports, Jason Kitts played at Rogers High and Tacoma Community College. Now, he is the founder and executive director of CHB (Community Home Balance) Global Corp. The organization is a nonprofit wellness and community entity based in Oveido. It was established in 2016 with one primary purpose: to secure some gym time for Chloe so that she could work on her basketball skills. It was tough to find a good court in the area where the Kitts family resided. Therefore, both father and daughter started running programs for local youth through the organization to learn essential basketball basics like dribbling and shooting. Chloe herself pitched in at times. She taught the younger kids the sport for two years. It is only fair to assume that they must be cheering on the Gamecocks’ star right now.
Believe it or not, but Chloe Kitts’ basketball roots run deep. Her grandfather, Ron, was actually a state champion back in 1971. It was he who taught Chloe the ropes during her early years. Once Chloe showed an eagerness to play basketball before even hitting kindergarten, Jason took over as her coach. This led to her falling in love with the game by the age of four.

Does Chloe Kitts have any siblings?
Chloe Kitts has two younger sisters: Ellie and Kylee. Not much information is known about Ellie in the public domain. The same, however, cannot be said about Kylee.
Who is Chloe Kitts’ sister, Kylee?
Kylee Kitts is currently a freshman guard for the Florida Gators. Despite being a member of the class of 2024-25, she did not play a single game for the Gators in the recent college season. Instead, she was a Redshirt for her 2024-2025 Freshman Season.
However, Kylee did participate in Florida’s exhibition game held on October 30th, going 2-3 from the three. She recorded 9 points and 3 rebounds. If all goes well, Kylee can get to a matchup against her sister in the 2025-26 season, or the 2026 March Madness tournament.
It seems all the more possible considering the memorable impression she left during her time at the Faith Christian Academy. She led the high school team to their first Florida High School Athletic Association state championship in her sophomore year. In the title game, she posted 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. According to MaxPreps, she played in 34 games over two seasons between 2020 and 2022, and averaged 4.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.6 assists.

According to reports, Gators coach Kelly Rae Finley pursued Kylee as she believed the young player possessed leadership skills, athleticism, basketball IQ, and versatility. This, according to her, was a culture fit for the Gators. Pretty happy with her decision, she once stated, “She’s getting stronger, more physical. The speed of the game, she can stretch the floor, play inside and outside.”
