With just under 5 minutes to go into the game, a counter attack from LSU resulted in Aneesah Morrow capitalising it to score a point. Following this, the officials blew his whistle and termed it as an offensive foul. Consequently, this call made Mulkey furious and she charged towards the official explicitly showing her disappointment. Moreover, she marched towards the court before Mikaylah Williams came in the way and stopped her. Soon after, Angel Reese stepped in and tried to calm her nerves. The All-American forward held her back to get the situation under control.
Mulkey just flew off the bench and was enraged with the decision. The Pete Maravich Assembly Center saw her passion for the game get the better off her as she continued shouting at the officials. Nonetheless, Reese did manage to dial down her anger soon enough. Unfortunately, she was seen leaving the Arena before the final buzzer.
Come what may, it didn’t stop LSU from getting themselves another resounding victory.
