There was red, blue, and white in the air all over Paris when Jordan Chiles won a gold at the women’s artistic team all around. To top things up, Chiles gave an exceptional performance on Monday at the artistic gymnastics and got herself her second medal this Olympics. Though it was a bronze this time, nonetheless her fans and USA celebrities couldn’t stay back from acknowledging her brilliant performance.

The South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley took to the social media networking platform X to share “Yeah Jordan!!! @ChilesJordan I was mad at first but I am instantly happy for you! Heck yeah!!” Along with that Staley shared a video from the arena where she was seen cheering for Chiles along with other Team USA supporters.

The medal was a surprise for her fans since Chiles had initially received a score of 13.666 which put her out of the medal race. However, after more careful analysis of the event she received extra points for performing a move that put her ahead of Romania’s Ana Barbosu, winning her a bronze immediately as her score read 13.766.

Meanwhile, Simone Biles took home the silver medal with 14.133 after stepping out of bounds on two occasions. In comparison, Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade who had clinched a silver medal in the individual all-around category got herself a gold in this event with a score of 14.166. Hence, with Biles and Chiles winning medals, the entire USA contingency had a great time. It also washed away the USA’s previous medal failures.

Earlier in the day, Biles and Suni Lee were left out of medal contention due to falls on the balance beam. Hence, Italy’s Alice D’Amato grabbed gold in that category. But as they say, all’s well if it ends well. Hence, US gymnasts concluded the day on a positive note and a message from other stars validated the same.
