College sports are booming at the moment. NIL deals are giving star college athletes life-changing platforms with brands roping in the hottest talents from the circuit. In the middle of this heat, a multi-industry phantom, Flau’jae Johnson is using her resources to make a difference. The LSU Tiger made a monumental investment, one she plans to utilize for enrichment.
Not only is Johnson the face of women’s NCAA basketball, but she has also built an impressive career as a rapper. Her music hits such as “Big 4” have helped her break out as a unique athlete. The 5’10” guard is just as electric on the court. Her appeal has earned her several notable endorsements such as Powerade and and JBL. But her initiative in Atlanta might be the most pivotal move in her youthful career.
In an Instagram post by Boardroom, they announced Johnson’s purchase of 20 acres of land in Atlanta, a city in her hometown of Georgia. The 20-year-old wants to become a beacon for her community. Flau’jae Johnson wants the investment to serve as proof for her community that there are no limits to success.

And she wants to use the land to help cultivate opportunities.
“This land represents more than just an investment for me—it’s about building something bigger than basketball or music. I want to create opportunities for my community and leave a legacy that shows young women, especially young Black women, that we can do it all,” she said in her statement about the historic purchase.
Flau’jae Johnson and JuJu Watkins, the two faces of the NCAA are thriving
It’s not just Johnson that is bathing in success. But JuJu Watkins is only a day removed from a milestone deal herself. Joining only Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, she secured a NIL deal with Gatorade. This comes after the record-setting USC freshman signed one of the most lucrative shoe deals with Nike in the past week.

Due to their college affiliations, Watkins and Flau’jae Johnson is a matchup the NCAA world would get their popcorn out for. However, off the floor, they share nothing but admiration for each other.
Notably, Watkins, who set the freshman record for scoring, averaging 27.1 points appeared on the rapper’s podcast last month. They both reminisced on their time at the ESPY’s. JuJu Watkins took the Breakthrough Athlete award at the celebrated event. Yet, the highlight of the night for her was Johnson’s captivating performance.
“Flau’jae performance a must-see. You killed that performance. I was literally sitting there, I never seen you live. I was sitting there, I’m like ‘there’s no way this girl is like,’ your stage presence is crazy bro,” she told her NCAA rival.

During the recruitment season, USC has done an amazing job of adding seismic talent to surround Watkins, who is after triumph after her freshman season exploits. LSU and Johnson share the same aims. But while their contest will reveal the true face of college basketball, outside, there seems to be nothing but the respect they share for one another.
There’s nothing like two college stars at the top of their games recognizing one another.
