Angel Reese opens up about her partnership with Shaq

Angel recently appeared on an SEC Tip-Off interview. She was asked by the host as to who has been the most impactful in terms of her growth and what she’ll do this season.

Angel said, “Probably Shaq. He has always been super supportive of me. I mean he came from LSU, and I just had a partnership with Reebok, and I started working with them as well. Just being able to have somebody that is in a position that I wanna be in one day. Everything he does outside of the court is something I want to do.”

The Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has been appointed as the president of Reebok basketball. His first line of action after taking over was signing an endorsement deal with Reese.

Fans have been buzzing about whether Reese is actually related to Shaq after she called him ‘Uncle’ on Twitter earlier this year. However, there is no blood relation between the two and these speculations were put to rest soon after. Does go to show their bond, and the love fans have for them, though!

Angel Reese has always looked up to Shaquille O’Neal as her role model. The No.10 of the LSU Tigers has been very vocal about the special bond she shares with him. Moreover, Shaq has gone on record stating that Reese is the greatest athlete to have ever played for the Tigers.

Furthermore, the NCAA’s most outstanding player of the tournament faced backlash from Dave Portnoy and Keith Olbermann for her infamous taunt of Caitlin Clark in the Finals. However, Shaquille O’Neal came to her defense.
