Birthdays are special. More so, when you receive your favorite gifts. In one such incident, the former University of Connecticut Huskies star Bria Hartley’s son received a present he wouldn’t have expected on his birthday from the current NCAA star Paige Bueckers. Bueckers was seen escorting the kid in a video reshared on her Instagram story and had captioned it with so much care and love that it must have left fans wishing for a similar present.

Hartley had originally shared the video on her Instagram story in which her son Bryson was seen walking with Bueckers in a corridor on his birthday, which drew a lot of fans’ admiration for Bueckers’s generous action. 

Why did Bueckers say?

Sharing the video, Hartley had captioned it “My heart is full” followed by a heart emoji. A friendly Buecker had placed her hand on Bryson’s shoulder. Shortly afterwards, Bueckers reshared the story on her Instagram account and captioned it “Little Mans” with a heart emoji. This kind gesture by Bueckers made her fans go gaga. 

Bueckers was seen taking the WNBA star Bria Hartley’s son Bryson Noah Hartley inside the room where other UConn Lady Huskies’ stars were present. They sang the happy birthday song for the kid and were seen cheering him on his special day. The much-coveted applause from the UConn team must have cheered the little boy and was indeed a wonderful moment considering he met so many stars. 

Notably, Bryson’s mother Bria was a guard with the UConn Huskies before being drafted in the WNBA. She played for four years with the Huskies and averaged a decent 13 points per game with 3.6 rebounds per match and 3.7 assists per game. Maybe it was her nostalgic connection with the UConn that prompted Bueckers and Co. to celebrate her son’s birthday.

Bria’s Huskies connection doesn’t only end here. In fact, Bryson is the offspring of Bria and her boyfriend Shakim Phillips who was a player for the UConn’s and Boston’s college football teams.

The duo gave birth to a son in January 2017 and hence it was his seventh birthday. A lot of fans must be envious of Bryson for receiving such humongous attention from stars at a young age.

How did the UConn perform?

Meanwhile, the UConn won their most recent game against the St. John’s Red Storm by a blowout margin of 92-49. Bueckers as usual was the standout player for the Huskies, basketing a game-high 22 points. She was followed by her the UConn’s forward Ice Brady who smashed 17 points in a winning cause. With this, the Huskies cruised to a 14-3 record in the regular season. 

With such a delightful atmosphere in and around the team, Bueckers & Co. can expect to emerge victorious in the subsequent matches. And perhaps this was Bueckers’ way of giving her fan an additional gift other than a victory on his birthday.
