The 2024-25 NCAA season may be a few months away, but Flau’jae Johnson and Paige Bueckers are keeping their skills sharp. However, while they are working on their own game, they are also coaching the younger generations. Not to mention, all this work and play is getting more cha-chings into their accounts through NILs. And when the little girl with no money turns into an athlete with $1.4M in her name, she also brings the bling to her game.

One of the biggest stories in the recent days coming out of Storrs was the UConn star’s deal with the Unrivaled League. The one-of-a-kind offer also bumped her NIL value. In recent days, her total NIL has gone up by $200,000, which Bueckers is clearly enjoying. Recently, Overtime WBB shared a video of the two spectacular DI athletes during the Overtime Select event in New York. They captioned the post, “I can’t take it with these two 😭 @paigebueckers @flaujae”

Clearly, Paige Bueckers’ team was doing much better than Johnson’s. Hence, the Husky went to the Lady Tiger asking if she was doing okay. Of course, the friendly yet competitive junior responded with “Can you get out of my face?” However, her own diva side could not help but notice the shiny piece of jewelry on Bueckers’ hand.

Taking a closer look, the rapper said, “That NIL money treatin’ you well!” The UConn guard did not stay behind either as she pointed out to the even bigger ice in the LSU star’s neck.

While the game may not be going in favor of the Lady Tiger, their friendly banter was definitely something to make up. But this is not the only way they are building a bond with each other.

Paige Bueckers stuns Flau’jae Johnson with her ‘unreal’ moves

The NCAA season will have Johnson and Bueckers locking horns with each other. But until then, their doting dynamic continues. A similar situation occurred between the two prominent players during a pickup game. Then, Paige Bueckers showed off her moves as she crossed her opponent with a behind-the-back dribble to make a layup for her team, winning the game.

She then ran into the tunnel, celebrating her impressive move. Johnson welcomed her back into the gym as she went, “You not real. That m*********** is not real.” All Paige Bueckers did was smirk as she proudly took the credit for winning the matchup. The two were also seen together at the ESPYS and the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game back in July.

Certainly, they are growing into the friendship just fine. But while Johnson was positively shocked by how Paige Bueckers moves on the floor, she would definitely not want the 22-year-old to pull a similar trick on her during a serious game. As for the bling, we are sure Flau’jae Johnson is also doing just fine with her rapping career alongside basketball.
