LeBron James has always been public about his desire to play alongside his sons in the NBA someday. While his claims looked unachievable at one point his longevity and desire have made the dream fathomable with his eldest son now representing USC in the PAC-12 Conference. A 4-star rated recruit by ESPN, Bronny James has been receiving national attention since he was 10 years old and while LeBron’s vision has not been fulfilled it won’t be long before Bronny makes it to the NBA.
Despite having a certain future in the league Bronny recently had a health scare as he suffered from a cardiac arrest during a workout at USC. The incident rocked many to the core and even sparked concern over a fellow teammate’s health after he suffered the same fate a year ago. Now recovered, Bronny recently received tons of love from family and friends on his special day as his “twin” sent love to him on Instagram.

Bronny James recently received well wishes on his birthday from his younger brother as the USC star turned 19 last night. Bryce James who is 3 years younger than his brother posted a story on Instagram as he shared an image of the two from the 2023 ESPY’s.
The image captioned “Happy bday twin” carried more than just a simple birthday wish as it also recounted the night the entire James family presented the Best Record-Breaking Performance to LeBron as he was honored for breaking Kareem’s NBA scoring record. Bryce’s lovely gesture was also a reflection of the love the two brothers share as the once-teammates from Sierra Canyon High School now look to forge their own paths.
With LeBron James dedicating his 20th season to Bronny after his recent health scare his brother fondly remembering him on his special day is another gesture that shows the togetherness of the James’ household. But while Bronny continues to recover, his recent diagnosis jumpstarted another conversation about his USC teammate as he suffered the same fate almost a year ago.

Bronny James’ recent health scare reignites USC teammate’s battle
Before Bronny James’ cardiac arrest earlier this year, his USC teammate Vincent Iwuchukwu suffered a similar fate a year ago as the 7-foot center suffered a heart attack during a summer workout. Taking place on July 1st, 2022, Vincent was reportedly in between practices when assistant coach Eric Mobley noticed a difference in the way Iwuchukwu grabbed a rebound recounting that he “didn’t look right.”
Vincent collapsed shortly after and was deployed with an automated external defibrillator (AED) while being administered CPR. The incident was later recounted by the youngster who remembered being “dizzy” before collapsing on the ground.
