Ever since college athletes were compensated for their name, image and likeness, the landscape of NCAA has changed for good. Not only has it been able to provide young athletes with a source of income, but it has also changed how companies view them today. This particular ruling which took effect on July 1st, 2021, has changed the outlook with athletes being dubbed as athleprenuers for being able to earn while they play. With athletes being the greatest beneficiaries of this particular ruling, it was only about time that some of the biggest sporting companies came calling.

This has certainly been the case recently after Stephen Curry’s godsister used her NIL deal to strike up an agreement with a $9.95 billion company. This particular deal also sees her join tennis superstar Coco Gauff with the two being the only females to represent their respective sports for this brand.
