Both these teams are on a roll this season. While South Carolina has won all of their 13 games so far, the Bulldogs couldn’t get the desired result on 3 occasions. The Gamecocks hold the upper hand in almost all the departments over Mississippi. They are scoring with a whopping average of 90.8 per game in comparison to Mississippi’s 78.8. Moreover, they are able to grab the rebounds more efficiently besting the Bulldog’s rate of 43.6 with their 50.7 per game. Further, the assists column also shows that South Carolina is a better team as they have an edge of 2.6%.

Not only this, the Gamecocks also hold an advantage when it comes to controlling the game from the field. They have a field goal percentage of 51.6 which is 5.7% more than what the Bulldogs have. Meanwhile, their accuracy of 41.4% in shooting from beyond the arc is also something to worry about for Mississippi.

Nonetheless, Mississippi has some quality players in its squad that can match the standards of the home team.

Players to watch out for

South Carolina currently has four players who are averaging in double digits. The charismatic No.10 Kamilla Cardoso is leading the charge for them. She is notching the best average of 13.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Te-Hina Paopao has the second-highest scorer while freshman guard Milaysia Fulwiley is the breakout star for them. Also, No.25 Raven Johnson has the best numbers in terms of assists and steals.

In addition, Debreasha Powe is their third player to have a double-digit average.

It will be a great contest between two great teams in the SEC. While South Carolina looks the better team on paper, there is no denying that the Bulldogs have the players who can cause an upset. We will have to wait and see how the game turns out tomorrow.
