The class of 2024 is in the house. A star-studded attendance graced the Brooklyn Academic Of Music in New York for this year’s edition of the WNBA draft. As much as the conversation is around where this elite group of college basketball stars are headed, plenty of attention is also being spent on how they have dressed up for this special occasion.

On top of the order, the All-American forward Angel Reese was at her dazzling best at the event, donning a custom-made metallic-themed hooded gown. This exquisite attire’s draping hood outstretched into a plunging neckline would have piqued the attention of all present. In addition to this, the dress also evoked references to Denis Villeneuve’s recent film Dune 2, starring Zendeya and Timothée Chalamet, with one user commenting, “She got that Dune 2 fit on,” while others drew references to the Bene Gesserit; an important group in the film.

The story behind Angel Reese’s jaw-dropping look

During the orange carpet, the 21-year-old had a chat with the ESPN reporting team. During this, each member, including fellow forward Chiney Ogwumike, wanted to know more about her ensemble. Reese, in response, said, “I ordered a dress a couple of months ago. Got it a week before and it didn’t fit. So I got here Wednesday and I didn’t get this dress till Friday. So, I just got this dress 3 days ago. Luckily, I got it put together.”

Ready-to-wear luxury dress brand Bronx and Banco are responsible for Reese’s outfit. Moreover, the clutch she was carrying is from the Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand SIMONMILLER while her shoes are a product from Christian Louboutin. Further, her little black bowed French-tipped nails were a work from Angie Aguirre’s shespolished, and the pair of grills on her teeth came from Essense Martin of the essentialgrillz.
