‘Scoring Machine’ Caitlin Clark’s 44-Point Night for Iowa Ties Record With 2x WNBA Champion

Following this, popular ESPN reporter Alexa Philippou took to her Twitter account to share two interesting developments about Caitlin Clark. In her first post, she wrote, “This is Caitlin Clark’s 38th career 30-point game, tying Kelsey Plum for the most 30-point games by a player in Division I over the last 25 seasons.” 

Soon after Caitlin Clark crossed the 40-point mark, the women’s basketball reporter shared another important update. This time Alexa tweets, “This is Caitlin Clark’s 9th career 40-point game, tying Kelsey Plum for the most in Division I over the last 25 seasons, men’s or women’s.” It is no surprise for many that Clark achieved this feat, as she has shown her mettle in the NCAA countless times. Furthermore, she also added another feather to her cap equalling with one of the all-time greats in college basketball — Kelsey Plum.

Apparently, Caitlin Clark is on a mission this year and she will not rest until she gets the job done.

After her loss in the 2023 NCAA Finals, Caitlin Clark has set herself on the path of redemption. She has electrified the court with her stellar performances in both her games. The three-times WBCA Coaches’ All-American has been smashing records and scripting history throughout her career. Moreover, before the start of the season, Clark was the unanimous favorite for the AP Pre-Season Women’s All-American Team. Furthermore, she was also honored with AP Player of the Year in 2023. In addition to this, she also recorded the most points by a college basketball player(male or female) in a single tournament.
