“Where’s my mom?”  Sania Feagin, an SEC Champion teenager, screamed, scanning the crowd and eager to share the moment with her mother. Her efforts and tireless hard work paid off in that moment. Feagin blocked 51 of her 106 career shots in the 2024-25 season alone and became South Carolina’s defensive anchor. She was even named to the SEC All-Defensive team.

“This year it paid off,” Staley praised her shot blocker. “When she’s locked in, she’s communicative, she’s skillful, she can stick to a game plan, she can defend. I mean, she’s got great footwork. She’s got a great touch. She is very efficient around the basket. That is her. You’re seeing all of her skill set that we saw during the recruiting process that we didn’t see on a consistent basis her first three years.”

With multiple shooters around her, Sania’s main assignment was to guard her post. Still, offensively strong Feagin finished the season with a 12.7 points average. She scored jump shots, low-post buckets, and on dribble drives, but her defense earned Feagin recognition, making her a reliable two-way player and team leader.
