Paige Bueckers was having a relaxing off-season until she got a return call from the University of Connecticut Huskies. The Minnesota-born could be seen enjoying with her friends while attending the New York Fashion Week, a NY Liberty game, and the US Open during her off time. However, as the fall semester of the Huskies started, Bueckers had to travel 141 miles from New York to the Storrs to attend her class in time. And well, who could have made the news public better than Bueckers herself?
Bueckers took to Instagram to share that she had made it in time to the University of Connecticut classes. She shared a picture of her laptop on her Instagram stories that had been captioned, “yea yea yea… made it @uconnwbb.” This comes after Bueckers was spotted at the New York Fashion Week, donning extravagant and glamorous outfits, showing the other side of her life.
The 2021 AP Player of the Year had also attended the New York Liberty’s clash against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday along with her teammate, Azzi Fudd. A reel of the same was posted on social media, and the official UConn basketball account asked her to return to the campus to attend her classes. “Come home, you have class tomorrow,” the account commented. And Bueckers with little fuss, looks to have obeyed the authorities.

Bueckers had caught all the limelight when she decided to make an appearance at the New York Fashion Week in her all-white outfit. The 22-year-old made her debut for the event this summer, which was hosted by the popular brand named Who decides War. The 2021 Naismith College Player of the Year had expressed her excitement before attending the event to the popular Marie Claire Magazine.
As per Bueckers, she was “having a great time” since it was her “first Fashion Week.” Bueckers also met the Olympic gold winner Sunisa Lee at the event and the duo clicked a few snaps together. Looks like Bueckers had a big bash in the off-season. And now is the time to concentrate on her college activities. On the career front, the Geno Auriemma-mentee recently grabbed all attention when she was projected as the number one pick for a reputed WNBA team.

Bueckers, during the NCAA 2023-24 season, on the senior night, announced her decision to spend one more year with the University of Connecticut Huskies. Paige Bueckers: Balancing NYFW glamour and UConn studies—Is she the ultimate role model for young athletes?
Have an interesting take?
The Los Angeles Sparks lost their game on Sunday against the Connecticut Sun which many predict will get them the number one pick of the 2025 WNBA draft, a position that most mock drafts predict will be taken by Bueckers. If that is the case then it will be a good chance for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games gold medalist to team up with her NCAA opponents like Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson.
Hopefully, as for now Bueckers will be concentrating on her studies and making sure that her hard work in the classes yields her good results. On the other hand, her fans might continue speculating about her on-court performances in the NCAA season that will start in November.
