“Pressure is privilege. If you have pressure that means somebody respects some of you. A lot of people have nothing respected in them. So it’s like you take that pressure, you use it… It motivates you. That’s what I do.”

Flau’jae Johnson was instrumental in helping the LSU reach the Finals by basketing a whopping 26 points against the University of Kentucky with eight rebounds and accumulating a staggering 27 points against the North Western State Lady Demons with 10 rebounds that helped her score a double-double. But did her efforts materialize?

Her efforts along with Angel Reese’s helped her team clinch their first championship title by decimating the Iowa Hawkeyes by a huge margin of 102-85. This also marked the highest score in a women’s basketball college league.

Johnson was a prodigy during her school years as she won the MVP honors at the Jordan Brand Classic and became the only girl to play in the Iverson Classic. Her number was retired by the Sprayberry thus becoming the first girl to receive this honor.

With her win, the 19-year-old instantly shot to fame and signed some significant NIL deals. As per the latest NIL Valuation rankings, the Georgia-born was posited at the 20th position in the college basketball circuit with a valuation of $1.1 million. And winning the Championship again is the pre-requisite if the LSU guard wants to stay in the limelight.

When will the NCAA season begin?

The LSU Lady Tigers will clash against the Colorado Buffaloes in the season’s opener on November 6. While the LSU will start as the favorites after having won the title last year, the Colorado Buffaloes could only make it to the Sweet Sixteen where they were defeated by the runner-up – the Iowa Hawkeyes. If the LSU have to win they will have to contribute in all quarters.
