In the mock draft released by ESPN, Caitlin Clark was traded as the No. 1 pick by Indiana Fever. The Iowa Hawkeyes’ point guard will be eligible for the WNBA draft in January 2024 when she will turn 22. If Clark gets traded to Indiana, then she’s likely to make a powerful duo with a superstar with whom she recently had a freewheeling talk.

But despite her WNBA advent becoming big, the 2023 Naismith Player of the Year plans to enjoy the upcoming NCAA season. This season could potentially be Clark’s last with the Hawkeyes despite the COVID-19 waiver making her eligible for another college season. Amid all this, the question is: will Indiana Fever’s Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark grace the WNBA on the same team?

Aliyah Boston interviewed Caitlin Clark recently, which eventually led to talks about WNBA prospects. Clark just made a loud shout in two preseason games for Iowa, making a bang in her return. The rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark is well known, and it is highly possible that Caitlin will be picked up before Reese.

When Aliyah asked Caitlin, “You’re projected to be the No. 1 pick… what does being the one mean to you?” Clark replied that she could end up with Aliyah Boston in Indiana. But she is unsure of it. “Well, Indiana Fever could have the first pick…may be or may not. We will have a duo,” Clark hints that there are possibilities that they may end up on the same team.

Aliyah Boston used to ply her trade for the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA championship before making her debut with the Indiana Fever. With Clark, she’s likely to make a great duo in terms of rebounds and assists.

The league race pits Angel Reese against Caitlin

Though Angel Reese is draft-eligible, the predictions favor Clark entering the professional season. But it will be a tough race between these two NCAA standouts as they show some serious hooping skills in the history of collegiate basketball.
