Is 'Zootopia' really just for kids, or does it hold deeper meanings for adults too?

Kids’ movies are definitely not just for kids. They have become beloved classics for audiences of all ages, so it’s no surprise that even basketball stars unashamedly love them. Recently, the spotlight fell on one such popular movie when UConn Huskies’ star Paige Bueckers wasn’t afraid to express her love for it.

It all started when fellow teammate Azzi Fudd asked Bueckers her ‘guilty pleasure.’ The UConn point guard replied, “But, like, what is a guilty pleasure? Because I’m not guilty about it.” She revealed that it’s watching kids’ movies. When pressed about her favorite kids’ film, “Honestly, I just really like Zootopia!” she revealed.

Speaking of Zootopia, this film is more than just a favorite among kids. According to BoxOfficeMojo, it has grossed over $1.024 billion worldwide. Released on March 4, 2016, the movie quickly became one of Disney’s biggest animated hits. Also, it was the fourth animated movie to surpass the billion-dollar milestone. It revolves around friendship and acceptance and continues to charm new viewers to date.
