On a thrilling Thursday night, a sold-out Carver-Hawkeyes Arena witnessed history in the making. The most prolific figure in Iowa’s program Caitlin Clark landed an unreal logo bomb to etch her name into the record books. As a result, 15,500 fans were on their feet to experience this surreal moment. Not only did she have a record-breaking outing, Clark even put up a career-high score of 49 points in the game.
Caitlin Clark left Las Vegas Aces point guard Kelsey Plum behind just a few minutes into the game against Michigan. Rather cheekily, she chose to do it in a fancy, with her signature Logo 3 shot. Consequently, the Carver-Hawkeyes Arena chanted for her to stay for another year. Perhaps, it is because many believe that this impeccable athlete can still achieve more in her college career.

Iowa’s No.22 Caitlin Clark at the heels of a Tigers icon
Clark is only 99 points away from reaching the top of the NCAA all-time scorers and is closing in on Pete Maravich’s record. “Pistol” Pete Maravich of the LSU Tigers was a wizard on the hardwood, courtesy of his impeccable shooting, dribbling, and passing abilities. He had an iconic career at the Baton Rogue which saw him bag 3,667 in just three seasons with the Tigers. In addition to this, he also had an exemplary average of 44.2 points per game throughout his career. The NCAA icon made the record during his college career with the LSU Tigers between 1967-70.
Now, the 6 ft point guard Clark has a great chance to overcome this invincible record which was left untouched for almost 6 decades. Currently, she sits on 3,569 points. Seemingly, the pace at which she is going should only take her 3 or 4 games to become the greatest scorer in college basketball history.
