The dreadful debut season has started shadowing Bronny James’ brand value. King Bron’s eldest son was second to none in NIL dealing before his poor health and performance cost him dear. Now, struggling to retain his top spot to a bludgeoning NFL quarterback, Bronny and Trojans have become strange bedfellows amid March Madness.
The end of the regular season brought its own trials and tribulations for collegiate stars and squads. While some teams rejoiced playing the conference tournament, others had to take a blow for not performing well. This also shattered their dreams of making it to the March Madness. One such powerhouse that could not stick to their winning plans were the Bronny James’ program University of Southern California Trojans. The Trojans had an abysmal 15-18 regular season record.
After a successful initial game, they lost to the Arizona in the quarterfinals by a 70-49 margin. This also ended their hopes of making it to the March Madness since going by their form it was evident that Trojans would not be the favorites during the Selection Sunday. USC’s nightmare came true when they were snubbed from the March Madness.

Following this event, USC’s freshman and LeBron James‘s son Bronny James’s NIL took a hit. He is currently posited at the first spot but now his NIL stands at just $4.9 Million as per ON3. He was previously at $5 Million which was also a decline from his original NIL of $5.8 Million. And a lot of people suspect that the main reasons for this negative impact was James’ disappointing run this season.

As of now he is just $200K ahead of the next athlete in line – the NFL quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Once Bronny had cashed in his full potential with NIL deals but now he looks to be struggling spraying on top as he edges closer to Sanders, following by a proximity to the LSU star Olivia Dunne.

A Series of Embarrassments
This season Bronny had embarrassing performances in the regular season. First he came off from cardiac arrest and could not play the initial few games. Then Bronny after his debut could not take the onus of the team and spent his entire time adjusting to the situations in USC.
He could only smash 4.8 points per game with 2.8 rebounds per match which was paltry considering the Bronny’s potential. He could not contribute much in any of the matches. The highest points he scored this season were 15 against the Oregon State Beavers in a losing cause. He could step into double figures only thrice and that definitely hurt how his fans saw him.

James Jr. was expected to shine but he failed to send assuring signals to the USC management as well as his followers. Nonetheless, after taking such a hit in NIL, he would be looking to bounce back in the next season if he continues college basketball. But as of now he might not be as high a draft pick as was expected of him.
