The LSU Tigers may not have repeated their 2023 NCAA heroics. But, hardly anyone would argue that they had one of the most dynamic duos in their locker room. Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson proved on multiple occasions that they are a force to be reckoned with when stepping onto the court together. Now, many would have opined that the presence of such two immensely talented players in the same squad would have resulted in a rift between them. However, that wasn’t the mentality followed by the two ferocious Lady Tigers.

The 5 ft 10 in guard shed some more light on her relationship with Angel Reese when she joined Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez on the Hot 97-morning show. Halfway through the show, Rosenberg asked Johnson to provide a clearer picture of her relationship with the three-time All-American forward. She went on and said, “People could get bitter and jealous. I knew at that point when my teammate was getting all the success, I was happy for her. It was like I was having the success. Sometimes you gotta wait your turn. That’s what basketball taught me. You gotta be able to clap while it’s your turn.”

Both these athletes did have an impressive NIL resume when they were playing side by side. While Reese’s NIL worth stood at a whopping $1.8 million, Flau’jae was not far behind with her valuation amounting to $ 1.2 million. Also, the partnerships of the 2023 SEC Freshman of the Year include Powerade, Puma, Amazon, and JBL Audio among many others.

Meanwhile, there are also a handful of brands that have the joint collaboration of Reese and Johnson.

Evidently, both these elite basketball players have come together for a number of commercial heavyweights in the past. This dynamic duo joined hands to feature in the educational campaign for Tampax. In addition to this, the Amazon ‘Dormz’ commercial also gave a chance for the two of them to work together. Further, a partnership with Campus Ink helped them deliver their own limited-edition basketball jerseys. The fast-food restaurant chain Raising Cane didn’t miss as well when they got the opportunity to sign both of these ballers.

Angel Reese might be a part of something different now, but the friendship between the two is still in full effect. Additionally, the way they have complimented each other on the court speaks volumes about their chemistry. Fans would definitely hope to see them share a court in the near future.
