The North Carolina Tar Heels haven’t had a standout year. However, considering the struggles of other iconic programs like Duke and Kentucky, the Tar Heels are doing really well. They are currently sitting at 12-7 for their record this season and are fifth in the ACC. However, this year has been mostly a transitional year for the Tar Heels.
UNC has been starting young lineups that feature freshmen like Caleb Love and Walker Kessler. However, team captain and senior Garrison Brooks is still there to steady the ship. However, it seems Brooks may be cautious about how this young team would fare in the NCAA tournament if they made it that far.

North Carolina Tar Heels: Can they have a run in March Madness?
The UNC Tar Heels aren’t the same monster they once were. We didn’t get a March Madness last year, but if we did, the Tar Heels would not have made it. However, they do look better this season. While blue blood teams like the Kentucky Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils look out of the race, what about UNC?
From where they stand right now, they could make it in as one of the lower seeds. However, they have big games this season. Their remaining slate is headlined by a clash against the Florida State Seminoles, as a win over them could really boost their chances. They end their season against Duke Blue Devils.

This season shouldn’t necessarily be a lost season for the Tar Heels if they can end it well. A run in March Madness can come for any team, but for that, the team needs to make it there first.
