The Nike Hoop Summit is where stars rise and legends often begin. For many fans, it’s a stage to watch basketball’s next big thing. In 2023, Bronny James shined in Portland’s Moda Center with his fresh talent and performance. However, his younger brother Bryce James won’t be taking part in the same event. It’s probably a twist that no one saw coming, especially with the James family legacy looming large in the basketball world.
Back in 2023, Bronny made headlines with his performance that sealed USA team’s victory. Obviously, King James attended the game with wife Savannah and daughter Zhuri. Bronny shook off a rough start and scored 11 points, seven of them in the final quarter. He hit a crucial three-pointer, blocked a shot, and iced the game with two clutch free throws. Bronny remained calm even when under pressure, setting an example of his immense potential.
However not the whole game was on Bronny’s side that day. He did miss both both of his 3-point attempts in the first half. During halftime, he got some crucial advice from his legendary dad. “[Dad said] keep playing my game because he knows what I’m capable of doing,”, said Bronny post-game. It will be interesting to see how Bryce makes the most of LeBron’s wisdom and guidance.

Bryce’s absence from this year’s event raises eyebrows but no doubt – the Hoop Summit doesn’t play favorites. Each year, the event brings fresh faces and fierce competition to the game. The spotlight may skip Bryce for now but we will get to see him soon in the NCAA bouts.
There is still a lot to expect from the upcoming Nike Hoop Summit because we will still get to see some basketball genetics in action. Let’s dive into the duo that’s going to be there in the Summit.

Boozer Brothers take the Nike Hoop Summit spotlight over Bryce James
The twin sons of the basketball icon Carlos Boozer have been confirmed to be a part of the upcoming Nike Hoop Summit. Cameron and Cayden Boozer will be coached by Frank Bennett with Rob Brost and Charlie Ward being assistant coaches.
Last year, both of the Boozer brothers officially committed themselves to Duke University. Cameron stands as a dominant 6′ 9″ forward while his brother is a 6′ 5″ point guard. Both can be a crucial duo to the team as both have consistently secured good rankings. In fact, Cameron has consistently ranked among the top three recruits throughout his career.
