NCAA Basketball action will see the second matchup between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Pacific Tigers in the last two weeks. The team’s last met on the 23rd of January, where Gonzaga predictably pulled out a big win. However, the scoreline was still one to behold, as Gonzaga scored 95 points to the Tigers’ 49 points.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the best team in college basketball this year, and there is no question about it. While the Baylor Bears have a strong shot at unseating Gonzaga, the domination of the Bulldogs this year is quite a sight. They are undefeated and sitting on a 17-0 record this season.
Schedule update: Gonzaga will head to Stockton and play at Pacific Thursday at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network

The Pacific Tigers are highly outmatched here. They have a 5-4 record, with one of those losses coming at the hands of the Zags. They are currently on a three-game skid and probably not looking forward to this matchup.
However, can David somehow slay Goliath in this matchup?

NCAA Basketball: Is there any way for Pacific to pull this off?
We did see the Villanova Wildcats fall to a massive upset against the St. John’s Red Storm. While it wasn’t a mismatch of this caliber, it was a very surprising loss for Villanova. Can the Pacific Tigers pull together their scrappy play and beat the well-oiled machine that gave them a 46-point beating less than two weeks ago?

The Bulldogs have one of the most polished offenses in the country and a stifling defense. There is a reason they are the best in the country. The Tigers are mostly below average on either end of the floor and are presumable heading into another blowout.

The Tigers will be starting the game with Pierre Crockrell II, Daniss Jenkins, Broc Finstuen, Jeremiah Bell, and Jordan Bell. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are expected to go with their reliable starting five of Joel Ayayi, Jalen Suggs, Corey Kispert, Anton Watson, and Drew Timme.
There is no good reason to pick against Gonzaga here. This is one of those games that top teams win with ease, and that is what will happen here.
