Back in October 2024, the Boozer twins made their highly anticipated decision. They committed to Duke, cementing their future with the Blue Devils. Months later, they find themselves in a similar position. But this time, they’re on the recruiting side, trying to bring another five-star talent to Durham.

Nate Ament, the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2025 class, spent the weekend surrounded by Duke blue, taking in the electric atmosphere of a heated Duke-UNC rivalry game. As the top uncommitted player in the country, this wasn’t just a casual visit.

For Ament, who currently ranks 4th in high school NIL valuation, this was a chance to see what it really means to play at Duke. The Boozer twins were there beside him. But that wasn’t all to fuel an imagination of Blue Devil’s next generation. Following the game, the 18-year-old shared a few snaps from his photo shoot with Duke. Helping him with a decision in the comments? The twin brothers of course.

While Cameron added a curious-eye emoji, Cayden straight up wrote, “Yk this is the move twin.”

If the 5-star recruit needed anymore reason to pick Duke, Saturday night’s game was a good treat. Ament had a front-row seat as Duke dismantled North Carolina 87-70. The Blue Devils are on a 15-game winning streak, ranking No. 2 in the country and looking every bit like the powerhouse they were expected to be.

But the 18-year-old has his own reasons to place the Blue Devils in his top 11.

Duke gives Nate Ament enough reasons to set sights on joining forces with Cameron Boozer

At 6-foot-9, Ament has the kind of size and skill set that screams “future NBA star.” Duke head coach Jon Scheyer extended an offer back in September 2023. Since then, the Blue Devils have been in the mix. So this wasn’t his first visit to Durham. He made an unofficial stop last year. But this time, the stakes were higher.

“They’re winning, and they’re playing freshmen,” Ament told On3. “Not only that, but defensively. I know I got to get better defensively, and they’re one of the best defensive teams in the country. Them having so many five stars and highly ranked players coming in and gelling so quickly, that’s everything.”

Duke, with a 19-2 overall record and 11-0 in ACC, have been allowing just 0.882 points points per possession, ranking fourth in the country.

While Ament hasn’t talked much with the Boozer twins yet, he has been in touch with other Duke recruits. “They both want me to come, and they are both in my comments too,” Ament said about Nik Khamenia and Shelton Henderson. Well, the process isn’t easy as it may seems to be.

Ament’s recruitment has turned into a financial battle. Louisville fans have raised over $30,000 through Fanstake.com to try to sway him. The next-closest competitor? Duke, at just under $5,000.

“This platform gives fans a unique way to be part of the recruiting process, which is pretty cool,” Ament said. “I’m still weighing my options for where I’ll play, and there’s a lot to consider; but it’s exciting to see how fans can get involved in helping me find the right fit.”

Ament has already taken official visits to Texas, Louisville, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. He is set to visit Kansas State in February. But after this weekend, Duke might have just made their strongest pitch yet.
