The Terrapins were leading the game with a lead of 15 points at the half-time spot. However, the lead kept slipping away from them as the game continued. Apparently, even after the overtime, Maryland could not keep up and lost the match by 2 points. Nonetheless, the game was not even the event that the viewers will remember from that night. In fact, the physical spat between their two players became a highlight of the game.
Apparently, the No. 24 of the Maryland Terrapins — Brianna McDaniel — and No. 1 from the Wolverines roster — Lauren Hansen — threw punches at each other to get the ball. Following the incident, the two were ejected for the rest of the game. There is not much said about the snatching of the ball or about the ejection of the two players but we believe it was just for that night.

Inside the Michigan Wolverines roster
Michigan zipped past a good lead by the end of the game. Their forward Chyra Evans took the points lead in the game with 17 points against Maryland. She also leads the roster in most blocks on average with 0.6 per game. In fact, Lauren Hansen who could only score 10 points in a total of 25 minutes that she was on the hardwood is also one of their team leaders. She comes ahead with 2.2 total average assists and 1.3 steals per game. Laila Phelia is also a leaderboard topper with the most points with an average of 15.8 points per game.
As both teams try their best to keep up with their win-loss record, they definitely need to check on their on-court rapport. Nevertheless, the better team always comes on top in the end. With a 14-6 score so far in the tournament, Michigan will surely make the most of what they have left. We can only wait and watch what these two teams bring in the future.
