Her exceptional performance included one remarkable move that drew the attention of the basketball world: a smooth back-to-back dribble. NBA icon Magic Johnson compared her to players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, while the WNBA superstars took turns to praise the new star.

Similar to A’ja Wilson and Aliyah Boston, MiLaysia Fulwiley could be the next big thing in South Carolina women’s basketball. And WNBA stars A’ja Wilson, Sue Bird, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and LaChina Robinson all lined up on social media to share how they adored the dribble of MiLaysia.

WNBA legend Sue Bird took this video clip to smash around all the stereotypes with the NCAA as she shared it on her Instagram story and wrote, “Sheesh and the game continues to evolve.” She lashes out at the critics as she mentions, “Now if everyone can just get their narratives, NIL and WNBA money might.”

The Aces star Kelsey Plum took to Instagram to share this epic move, as she wrote, “Y’all, this is insane.” Her teammate and alumni of USC, A’ja Wilson, took to Twitter to acknowledge the toughest move by a freshman of her alma mater. She wrote, “So tuff.”

The Aces point guard Chelsea Gray wrote on her Instagram story as she shared the video, “Nasty.”

MiLayisa Fulwiley is already a star

During the Aflac Oui-Play match against Notre Dame in Paris, MiLaysia Fulwiley, a freshman from South Carolina, pulled off one of the most incredible moves in basketball history. Fulwiley sprinted down the lane, effortlessly maneuvering the ball around her back. With precision, Fulwiley then double-clutched the ball before executing a right-handed layup on the left side of the basket, all while faking a one-handed pass in mid-air.

This impressive display occurred right in the heart of the lane. But Fulwiley’s brilliance didn’t end there.
