The celebrations don’t seem to end for Gabbie Marshall who must have had the time of her life when she turned 24 on Thursday. Post that, Marshall posted a photo dump on the social media networking site Instagram on Sunday, and her Iowa teammates noticed it. The Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and the Las Vegas Aces rookie Kate Martin took to the post to check out her pictures while commenting on it.

Clark stated, “Miss you!!! Love you two 💓💓” on the post pointing to Marshall and her boyfriend Spencer Touro. Marshall too responded with warmth revealing, “@caitlinclark22 i miss you so much more boo.” Meanwhile, Martin also couldn’t help but feel nostalgic as she wrote, “You are seriously the best. I miss you. Love you & Spence.” And Marshall replied with the same emotions, “@katemartin We miss and love you soooooo much.” Looks like the Iowa alumni had a nostalgic time due to the post.

This comes just 3 days after Martin, Sydney Affolter, and Jada Gyamfi had wished Marshall on her birthday. Martin, in particular, had included a collage that featured the pictures of the two together on the court and also having fun together off the court. The Aces rookie had captioned the pictures as “Happy birthday to one of my best friends forever and ever. love you !!!!!” on her social media networking site Instagram story. Meanwhile, Marshall took note of a special picture from the collage and remarked, “the bottom left 😂love u, see you so soon.” But, this is just one specific example of their bond.

During the WNBA 2024 draft, Marshall was there for Clark and Martin on their special day. While Clark was selected as the number one pick that night by the Indiana Fever, Martin got a place with the Las Vegas Aces. Marshall who hadn’t declared for the draft cheered with zest and enthusiasm for her friends who partied once both got their much-deserved spot in the league. Their friendship is such that Clark had defended Marshall after the Final Four this year.

Caitlin Clark comes to Gabbie Marshall’s rescue in the Final Four

When the Iowa Hawkeyes were tackling the University of Connecticut Huskies during the Final Four in April this year, Marshall was criticized for drawing a controversial foul. Though that did not impact the game as the Hawkeyes won by a 71-69 margin, nonetheless, fans felt that the game could have gone either side if there had been slight changes in the performances.

At that time, Clark came to the fore to defend Marshall enumerating that “she (Marshall) doesn’t get enough credit.” Clark further applauded her teammate for coming “up with big plays all the time.” Thus, despite being a superstar, Clark, who usually doesn’t mingle in controversies, doesn’t hold on to her emotions for Marshall and saves the day for her.
