The offensive front of NC State is led by their charismatic guard Aziaha James. The dynamic No.10 has stacked 239 points at a decent average of 14.9 points per game. Another valuable contributor in the Wolfpack’s locker room is Saniya Rivers who is the best 3-point shooter in the team. In addition to this, she also has the second-best field goal percentage with 52.5% efficiency.

Simultaneously, currently sitting at the 11th spot at the ACC, Miami is having a mixed campaign so far. Nonetheless, they still have a group of impactful players that have the ability to turn the tides in their favor. Leading the scoring charts is Jasmyne Roberts who has piled up 172 points while maintaining a 10.8 points per game average. Moreover, she also has the best figures from beyond the arc with a 37.8 accuracy. Meanwhile, the team’s defensive responsibilities rest on the shoulders of Lazaria Spearman who has grabbed 86 rebounds at 5.7 per contest.

NC State or Miami Hurricanes: Who holds the upper hand?

On paper, NC State clearly holds the advantage over the Hurricanes. In addition to this, Miami has been struggling in the ACC. Although, out of the 16 games played they have won 11 games with respectable margins. Further, the defeats against Notre Dame and Virginia Tech have been a major blow to their confidence. On the other hand, the NC State has bounced back from their first defeat against their heartbreaker Virginia Tech. They gave a resounding performance against the Cavaliers with a 93-66 victory. Clearly, they will enter the contest as clear favorites and further extend their commanding campaign in the competition.

It will be an interesting battle between the two at the BankUnited Center. While North Carolina State seems to be the pick among the two, there is no denying that the Hurricanes might have a trick or two up their sleeve. We will have to wait and see which team gets the desired result on Thursday.
