Suffering from an injury and getting sidelined in her prime is sadly defining the dandy career of Paige Bueckers. But now, the University of Connecticut star is coming out of the crippling setback and is ready to return to the hardwood this upcoming NCAA season. But there’s a new twist in the tale due to some pressure situation.
Just before the 2022-23 season was about to start, Bueckers suffered from an ACL tear in her left knee, which resulted in UCONN playing without one of its most crucial players. But that’s the past now. Bueckers is now back to the court after 1.5 years.

The star guard has to deal with pressure
In an interview at the BEC Media Day, Bueckers was asked about the pressure after being named ‘Preseason Player of the Year.’ In her response, she said, “Honestly, it’s just a lot of pressure to play at UCONN, I mean the expectations are high. I feel like I’m putting a lot of pressure on myself to just come back and be the best version of myself I could be. It means a lot to be the preseason player of the year, but truly it means nothing cause you got to go out there and prove it. But I’m blessed and I’m grateful and I’m excited to be back on the court.”
As fans eagerly wait to know how the story of Bueckers unfolds, her words not just show the pressure she is facing but also her determination to prove herself and be grateful at the same time.
Meanwhile, the excitement level of the fans is reaching new heights for the upcoming 2023-24 NCAA season.
