Angel Reese is one of the most impactful athletes in college basketball today. And just like she remarked in her recent interview, she is trying to improve her skills in other aspects as well. Evidently, her game level is only increasing as she continues to be one of the fan favorites. This is even after LSU’s bad loss to the No. 1 South Carolina.

Nevertheless, she remains a confident and ecstatic player for the LSU Tigers. Moreover, she has undeniable fan support that surely keeps her in check through the losses.

After LSU’s loss on Thursday, fans were quite disheartened as the Tigers had a good lead throughout the game. Nevertheless, the fans who truly believe in the team definitely root for them through thick and thin. Recently, the Bayou Barbie re-shared a post on her Instagram story by the Women’s Hoops Masterclass. What was more magnetic about the story was the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player’s eloquent note to herself.

In the story, she wrote, “Keep being confident. Keep being you. You are that girl and you don’t have to prove that to nobody but you. Stay down 10.” The post she re-shared was also a humbling one and showed how much Reese’s fans love her. It said, “Angel Reese was dominant in LSU’s tough loss against No. 1 South Carolina. Reese tallied 15 pts, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks before fouling out with 4 minutes left in the contest. LSU’s star forward was active and impactful on both ends of the floor.”

Angel Reese did not disappoint

Being the face of the team does put Angel in a bad spot. However, while it was the team that lost, fans are still cheering Angel for her well-deserved performance. She held up against Dawn Staley’s virtuous center– Kamilla Cardoso. Kamilla is one of the top scorers for the Gamecocks. Angel kept the Tigers in the lead till she was fouled out in the fourth quarter just 4:02 remaining on the clock. The game definitely went down after that point as the Gamecocks took the lead and won the match by a margin of 6 points in their basket.

We know for a fact that LSU knows how to bounce back from a loss. Kim Mulkey has surely created a team that does not let a loss get to the brains of her roster. Further, it is a delight to see how supportive LSU fans are and not lose hope in their reigning champions. Next, the Tigers will stand against the Mississippi State on 30th January.
