The Gonzaga Bulldogs are unbeaten this season. The team is on a mission to succeed, and they look scarily good in pursuit of winning their first-ever NCAA Championship. The reason why the Bulldogs are feared this season is because they’ve been extremely consistent with their results.
Head coach Mark Few takes pride in how his team has been playing all season. They have not succumbed to defeat against a single team till now, and their perfect 29-0 record is the standard every team is looking up to.
On top of all that, Gonzaga has qualified to the NCAA Elite Eight for the fourth time in the last six years. They graced the stage in 2015, 2017, 2019, and have now punched their ticket into the Elite Eight with an 83-65 win over the Creighton Bluejays.

Mark Few hails the fighting mentality of the Gonzaga Bulldogs
There was no NCAA Tournament in 2020, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs look like they’re in search of a double win in Indianapolis. Mark Few is in his 22nd season as the head coach, and 2021 looks like a year where he might finally be able to add the term ‘NCAA Champion’ on his coaching resume.
“I hope people realize just how hard it is. It’s literally the hardest thing we do in our sport is advancing in this tournament,” Few said when asked about maintaining consistency.
While Mark Few did mention that it is really hard to advance to the Elite Eight in a consistent manner, the 58-year-old also admitted that a stroke of luck would also be favorable on a particular night during a tough game.
“But it’s really hard, and I know we’ve done it quite a few years in a row now, but I can tell you, it’s hard. It’s hard to get to this tournament, and it’s hard to win games in it. It’s something that I’ll never, ever, ever take for granted,” he expressed.
