Hidalgo has been making headlines with her exceptional prowess. She had joined Caitlin Clark, Markelle Fultz, and Sheila Lambert as she became the fourth Division-1 player to ever average 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, in their first ten games of their college career. So far, the Fighting Irish have played ten matches out of which they have won nine and lost one game. Although the team lost their season opener, Hidalgo’s debut performance was marked by a whopping 31 points. The complete credit for the team’s success goes to Hidalgo as she led her team to back-to-back wins. She is currently averaging 23.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.

On the other hand, Clark during her freshman year lit up the basketball scene as Iowa’s starting point guard. She started her college career with a triple-double and set records with 27 points in her debut. From achieving the Big Ten Freshman of the Year title to being named a first-team All-American, Clark was averaging 26.6 points, 7.1 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game.

While, if this were a competition, Clark may have won a few points difference, but nothing can be said for sure just now as Hidalgo has only played ten matches in the ongoing season. As the season continues fans will be keeping their eye on her to see if she will be able to surpass Clark. Notably, one more question stands- who is Hannah Hidalgo?
