Caitlin Clark is one of the best women’s basketball players to ever set foot in the realm of college basketball. Her impressive skills and ability to shoot the ball from deep threes, has the world calling her generational talent. In the ongoing NCAA season, she is currently averaging 29.5 points per game, which serves as a testament to her basketball prowess.

However, one question lingers in the minds of many fans who want to know how she would perform in the men’s league, and that’s exactly what Chris Williams and Chris Hassel discussed. They talked about NCAA, women’s basketball, and, of course, Clark wanting to play in the men’s league.

Iowa Everywhere recently aired a new episode of their podcast, Two Guys Named Chris. During the podcast, Williams and Hassel discussed the potential impact Clark would have if she played for the Iowa men’s team. After having the same talk with BJ Taylor, Hassel asked Williams, “How many points per game would Caitlin Clark average if she played for the Iowa men’s basketball team?”

In response to this question, Williams, with unsureness, said, “10”. Following his response, Hassel continued, “Interesting you say that because that’s exactly what he (BJ Taylor) said”.

They further added that with a shooting range like Clark’s, she could shoot from anywhere on the court and would score.

According to Hassel, BJ Taylor believed Clark could average 10 points a game in major college basketball, particularly if she played a role as a three-point assassin rather than being the go-to player. He also brought up that Taylor has this argument with his friends, who just don’t think that she could score. Hassel quoted Taylor, saying, “Don’t give it to me, it’s bulls**t, she can,” and supporting his statement Hassel said, “I think she could too!”

Caitlin Clark, in the men’s league, remains a hypothetical situation. But the debate continues, and for obvious reasons, opinions will differ and keep the fans dreaming of what could be. Notably, she is sending shockwaves in the basketball community in the ongoing 2023-24 NCAA season.

How has she performed so far?

The Iowa Hawkeyes started the current NCAA season with a tremendous victory over the FDU. They went on to continue their winning streak, till their match against Kansas State, which marked their first loss of the season, and also Clark’s worst shooting night ever. But Clark and the Hawkeyes learned from their mistakes and haven’t lost a single game since then. The Hawkeyes have played eleven matches so far out of which they have won ten games, in which Clark averaged 29.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
