The Hawkeyes star just did it again by climbing up the all-time scoring list two places at once to reach the No. 2 spot. This senior guard of Iowa is clearly unstoppable. However, she stays grounded and simply loves what she does on the hardwood with her beloved teammates.

Currently, she is only a few games away from getting to the top of the leaderboard and making history once and for all. Nevertheless, the talented athlete does not want to boast about her achievements.

Undeniably, Caitlin Clark is one of the best players that women’s college basketball has ever welcomed. To top that off, her decent responses to becoming a giant in division I are only more adorable. Apparently, the 2023 AP Player of the Year is only focused on loving the game and not breaking records. When asked about how she felt about reaching the No. 2 spot on the women’s college basketball all-time leading scorer list, she had a delightful reply: “You don’t really think about it too much. I think you just come out every single night and play your game and have fun. And this is what comes with it.

If her grounded behavior was not enough, she further added something that made us love her even more. Continuing about the game Caitlin said, “I’m just grateful to be able to do it with these girls. I love them to death and these coaches put me in positions to be successful. I’ve had a lot of really good teammates in my time here. I can’t do it without all of them. I can’t do it without coach Bluder without letting me have the keys to the offense.”

Well, she definitely is giving us the player and teammate goals with her words and actions alike. Now, this sensational player only requires a handful of games to beat it to the top of the scoring ladder.

Currently, Caitlin Clark stands at 3,424 points. She only needs 103 points more to leave the now-Aces superstar Kelsey Plum behind. Apparently, Kelsey Plum has held the No. 1 spot since her college career from 2013-2017. Evidently, with the performances that Clark is giving, she will be able to end the difference in merely 3 to 4 games.

Undeniably, no one has even come closer to the way that Caitlin is performing on the hardwood in the women’s college basketball history. She is breaking records right and left. Iowa will next attack Maryland Terrapins at the XFINITY Center College Park on 4th February 2024.
