Looks like Iowa has become a powerhouse of brewing talent this season. Walking on the same path as Caitlin Clark is the Hawkeyes’ forward, Hannah Stuelke. Her recent performance against Penn State was a display of sheer will and dedication. Leaving Clark’s score behind, she scored 47 points, 9 rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal. Notably, she shot with an outstanding field goal percentage of 85%.
Looking back at her previous accolades, let’s learn a bit more about Iowa’s new rising star.
Another rumble in Iowa, a new powerhouse in Hannah Stuelke

Although she may be an up-and-coming name, however, Hannah Stuelke started showing glimmers of talent long before. During her senior year in high school, she was named Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year and Miss Iowa Basketball. Moreover, across the United States, she was ranked at #45 recruit by ESPN.
In addition, she earned second-team honors as a freshman, along with first-team honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and became the four-time all-state honoree. Also, she earned first-team all-conference all four years unanimously in her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons, and all-district all four years.
Under the guidance of coach Dickson Jensen, Hannah played five years on All Iowa Attack and earned the 2019 Boo Williams Invitational Tournament MVP honor. She also won the 2019 Nike Nationals All-Tournament team honors. After that, she moved ahead and won the 2021 Nike Nationals Championship.
Hannah’s other accolades from high school include an all-conference honorable mention for playing volleyball. Similarly, she was on the track and field team which earned her all-conference honors in discus and the 100-meters. And so, she won the Washington Tri-Athlete Award, earning varsity letters in the three sports.
On the academic end of things in high school, Stuelke didn’t fail to excel. At Washington, she won awards in maths and science 4 times. Moreover, as a senior, she won an award in foreign language. All four seasons in high school, Stuelke stayed a member of the Academic Honors Program.
Apart from her high school achievements, Hannah has achieved a lot in her career in college as well, making her one of the key players on the Hawkeyes roster.

On many a time, Stuelke has never been far from performing in a way that has proved to be a significant contribution to her team. Notably, in a game against FDU, she kicked off her career by crucially scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. During the 2022-23 season, her off-the-bench versatility and performance turned out to be instrumental in the team’s success. Hence, she was named the Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year.
Before that, she scored a career-high 17 points while grabbing 9 rebounds, against Northwestern. She also recorded her second career double-double by scoring 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in a game against Cleveland State.
Giving a glimpse of her consistent and offensive gameplay, Stuelke has been scoring in double-digits in more than 10 games. Moreover, she grabbed 13 rebounds in a game against #2 Ohio State showcasing her finest on both ends of the court.
