Dawn Staley is one of the best, if not the best coaches that the NCAA has seen. Whether you talk about her personal achievements or ones by her students, she unquestionably knows what she is doing. In fact, stars like two-time consecutive WNBA champion A’ja Wilson even consider her like their second mother. Further, she has built a team so robust that today it stands undefeated and at the top ranking in its division. Apparently, she doesn’t just believe in bagging accolades.

While her players are well-known for collecting trophies, Dawn works in a different way. In the same light, Bree Hall’s parents have spoken about the beloved coach.

Bree Hall’s parents talk about head coach

Dawn Staley has given results to the parents that have trusted her with their kids. Similarly, a video posted by Women’s Hoops Network on their official X account showed how Bree Hall’s parents gave Dawn a vote of confidence. In the video, Bree’s mother quoted the Naismith Coach of the Year when Bree was a freshman. She said, “Full disclosure if you guys are looking for a freshman of the year or something like that, this probably is not the place for you.” Continuing Dawn’s words, Bree’s mother goes, “I got some dawgs already and everything is up for grabs but it’s not likely that is how things play out.”

Dawn made a promise to them, “But if you trust me, I will make sure she gets where she needs to be.” Today, Bree Hall is the junior guard, playing her third season with the team. She recently bagged her career-high score with 21 points against Missouri on 11th January 2024. Further, she currently averages 10 points per game which is double her previous season. Clearly, Dawn Staley is the epitome of teaching patience not just to the parents but also to the players under her.

Apart from giving her country so many gems, she has also won multiple Coach of the Year Awards over her years of service.

Unquestionably, Dawn Staley is a strong force that everyone needs on their side.
