The world suffered heartbreak when it heard the news that Bronny James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, had a cardiac arrest. At first, the fans were unsure about whether they were ever going to see the young LeBron back on the court. But, as the news of him making a good recovery made the headlines, fans and basketball enthusiasts excitedly waited to see his magic on a college basketball court.
In his high school career, he played for Sierra Canyon School, where he showed the world that he is nothing less than his superstar dad when it comes to playing basketball. He announced his commitment to the USC in May. But, since he suffered from this sudden health crisis, Bronny has been sidelined to recover for almost four months. LeBron’s oldest son, Bronny, was seen warming up with his teammates for the second straight game. While he doesn’t push his body to an extreme just yet, he was seen making passes to his teammate and getting in some 3s and layups.
Even in their previous game, Bronny was working out with his teammates before the match. As the fans got to see a glimpse of him on the court, they couldn’t help but wonder if he was about to make a comeback. While there has not been any official news from either his college or his family, fans are eagerly waiting for him to step on the court with his jersey on.
Asked for an update on Bronny, Coach Andy Enfield, in an interview with ESPN, said, “As soon as his family wants to put out a statement, they will do that. I’m the wrong person to ask. I’m just a basketball coach, so I don’t deal with the medical side of things. All I can say is that he’s a big part of our team.”

“Other than that, we have to be patient and wait for the OK! It’s a step-by-step process and we’re just following that. That’s all that I can say because I don’t know anymore,” Coach Enfield added.
While the young superstar is yet to make a debut in his college career, he had an amazing career in high school.

Born in 2004, Bronny James showed early signs of his interest in the sport that his father plays. When he was just 10 years old, he started to grab the attention of the world with his highlights from youth basketball games. During middle school, he teamed up with Mikey Williams as they both became a formidable force that everyone was scared to play against. However, Williams is facing challenges of his own too as he got arrested for possession of a gun. In his time at Sierra Canyon, Bronny made sure that everyone remembered him and not just because of his father.
Because of his impeccable skills and talents, he started receiving several scholarship offers from numerous programs all over. But, daddy James wasn’t happy about this as he took to an interview with ESPN to share his thoughts. He said, “It’s pretty crazy. It should be a violation. You shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.”
In May this year, Bronny announced his commitment to the USC but due to suffering from a congenital heart defect that was treatable. While he is still sidelined from the 2023-24 NCAA matches, fans hope to see the young player back on the court!
