The South Carolina Gamecocks stunned the Notre Dame by a blowout margin of 100-71 in their season opener. Despite having a star in Kamilla Cordoso, their freshman MiLaysia Fulwiley stood out for her aggressive attack and disciplined assists. Recently, Fulwiley gave an interview to ESPN where she spoke at length about her game.
Fulwiley appeared quite confident when asked about her performance and gave a confident reply that had all fans wanting for more.

The ESPN sport journalists asked Fulwiley about her recent play that was viral on social media. And if she has more such finesse shots in her “bag of tricks”. As per the interview, she mentioned that her gaming prowess in the match was one of the tricks that she used to perform during her school career.
“It’s a lot more. It’s a lot more coming where I came from definitely. But you gotta stay tuned too,” quipped Fulwiley.
Fulwiley stunned everyone with by playing the second fiddle to center Cardoso, dropping 17 points in the game with six assists. During the second quarter, she beat a defender by going behind the back and then tricked two more defenders.
The SEC Freshman of the Year was not only smashing points but also gave the highly acclaimed no-look pass to her team players. She was quick between coast to coast and also caught the ball off the rim to score some crucial points. Fulwiley has been a major discovery this NCAA season with NBA legends such as Magic Johnson and Kevin Durant applauding her. While Johnson compared her to the NBA legends LeBron James and Steph Curry for her spectacular moves, Durant appreciated her for unique gameplay.
Recently, the USA women’s basketball team players posted a video on Instagram naming their favorite college basketball players. Point guards Arike Ogunbowale and shooting guard Rhyne Howard had added Fulwiley in their list of players to watch out in the current NCAA tournament.

The Dawn Staley-coached team would be looking to make a point in their next game against the Maryland Terrapins on November 12. While the Gamecocks are going strong in the Southeastern conference, the Terrapins are also a force to be reckoned with in the Big Ten. And it will be a delight to watch the two powerhouses collide.
