An injured Filipowski minced no words to talk more about his recent off-court injury. Soon after the game, he was approached by the media to spare some thoughts about this frantic aftermath. Kylie went on and said, “I’ve already heard that there are some videos of getting punched in the back. I absolutely feel like it’s personal. Intentional for sure. There’s no reason where they see a big guy like me trying my way off the court and they can’t just work around me. There’s no excuse for that.”

As a result of this disarray, Filipowski might miss out on the next upcoming games for the Blue Devils. Meanwhile, Duke’s fans are rallying behind the ACC Rookie Of The Year. It would appear that, they are lashing out at this abrupt behavior by Wake Forrest’s college students. Evidently, the social media is filled with comments from angry Duke fans questioning the crowd’s forethought.

In the 38 minutes he spent on the hardwood, Kyle was able to contribute 17 points and 8 rebounds to Duke’s final scoresheet. In addition to this, he was also instrumental in helping his teammates score as he distributed 5 assists. Also, he had perfect accuracy in free throws with 100% success in all his attempts. Moreover, he was in total control of the ball with a field goal percentage of 46.2.

His super performance apart, his bold accusations are expected to compel the ACC to take some strict measures. His injury is further proof of what type of danger these court-storming incidents carry. We will have to wait and see what kind of punishments the conference is ready to issue against the home team.
