MiLaysia Fulwiley is ‘Different’

MiLaysia Fulwiley appeared for an interview on Uanesworld a year ago. During the conversation, Fulwiley was asked if she was the best girls’ basketball player ever. In her response, Fulwiley said, “Yeah! I’m best girls basketball player in this world.”  

“South Carolina has some good girls basketball players. But I feel like in today’s time I’m different. None of these girls are doing what I was doing. Like no c**cky John, like don’t get me wrong. So many good girls like in South Carolina, but I feel like I’m just different. Put it like that, different, I ain’t gonna say better but different,” she further added.

Her words showcased the confidence she had in herself even before she joined South Carolina, where she got the stage to put on a show with her impeccable skills and scoring ability. Notably, Fulwiley has the fans going crazy in the ongoing 2023-24 NCAA season. 

How has MiLaysia Fulwiley performed so far?

Late in 2022, Fulwiley announced that she will be committing to USC where she will shape her future under the guidance of Coach Dawn Staley. The ongoing NCAA season is her first season as a college player, but she is already making her mark.

In the season opener, the Trojans played against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, in which Fulwiley left the crowd shocked with her prowess, which made even NBA legends like Magic Johnson, Stephen Curry, and many more praise her. Currently, she is averaging 12.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
